WASHINGTON - Sandy Berger, who stole highly classified terrorism documents from the National Archives, destroyed them and lied to investigators, is now an adviser to presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton. Berger, who was fired from John Kerry's presidential campaign when the scandal broke in 2004, has assumed a similar role in Clinton's campaign, even though his security clearance has been suspended until September 2008. This is raising eyebrows even among Clinton's admirers.

If the media is to be believed, Berger stole those documents to protect the Clinton Administration.

This news about Hillary taking advise from Sandy Berger now just goes to show you - She WILL return a favor.

On July 19, 2004, it was revealed that the U.S. Justice Department was investigating Berger for unlawfully stealing classified documents in October 2003, by removing them from a National Archives reading room prior to testifying before the 9/11 Commission. The documents were five classified copies of a single report commissioned from Richard Clarke, covering internal assessments of the Clinton administration's handling of the unsuccessful 2000 millennium attack plots.

Berger eventually pled guilty to a misdemeanor charge of unauthorized removal and retention of classified material on April 1, 2005.

Berger covered up Bill's pre-9/11 gaffes, so this is how he's being compensated. He pled guilty to breaking the law, and that's an irrefutable fact.

So the thief found nothing in the safe that he stole - so why bother sending him to jail or punishing him?

Is that what you are saying?

This LOOKS bad for Hillary. Depending on a man that already 'SUPPOSEDLY' tried to COVER for her husband's dealings while he was in office - is NOT a good idea.

She'd best have a good response to this story and it best not be....He Paid His Dues....

I am sure Hillary would be an ok President. What I'm not so sure about is, will she make it thru the General election? I don't think so. I think Americans will be bombarded by the GOP commercials showing Bill kissing Monica, Bill pointing his finger at the camera, Bill's Impeachment, Bills not getting Osama, etc..etc..

They'll realze then (after it's too late) that they really don't want to live thru another 6-12 years of the clintons.
